Belfast South Communtiy Resources are one of the proud sponsors of the newly formed Sandy Row Football Club.  Sandy Row FC are affilliated with the South Antrim League and will begin thier first season on Saturday 1st September against Belvoir F.C.  It is great to see a football team in the local area and we hope the community get behind them with thier support.  Good Luck Sandy Row F.C.

On 15th March BSCR and Charter Youth Club went along to the Belfast City Council's Community Safety Awards, many of the young people involved with BSCR and CYC were nominated by staff for all their hard work over the last year.  We are very pleased to announce that they won 2 awards!  The first award was for BSCR's young people and all their hard work whilst involved in the Re-imaging Project in Sandy Row, many paramillitary murals are being replaced and these young people worked hard on the new Linfield mural on Blythe Street.  The second award was given to Darrel Kelly, Jasmin Gibson and Demi Gorman, all of these young people work or are in full-time education some are even doing both, but they still give up their precious spare time to volunteer at the Charter Youth Club in the evenings and help out with looking after the children.  BSCR and Charter Youth Club are very proud of these young people and the positive attitudes they have towards their community!

BSCR will be running a geneology project, otherwise known as tracing your family tree, beginning Wednesday 22nd Feb 2012.  This will run for 8 weeks and is facilitated through the Ulster Historical Foundation & funded by the Big Lottery.  Participants will get the chance to visit the newly refurbished Public Records Office of Northewrn Ireland @ the Titanic Quarter and will also receive a 1 year membership that allows them acces to internet searches for 1 year.  Anyone interested in this project please ring 02890244449 or contact us via e-mail on This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
