Our Programmes
Study Support - Post Primary
BSCR Study Support provides young people who are of secondary school age (11-18) the opportunity to work 1 to 1 with University Students on their academic work. Pupils are matched with a student, who has experience in a subject the young person feels they need support in. Runs 3 days per week from BSCR. Monday to Wednesday from 3:30pm to 5:30pm
- Provide FREE educational support for secondary school children.
- To develop their knowledge, skills and confidence in their academic work.
- To create an environment where the children feel relaxed, valued and engaged.
- Raise aspirations in children with informal careers & guidance chats.
Study Support - Primary
The Primary School Homework Club runs 3 days per week from BSCR. Monday to Wednesday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm throughout the academic year. The homework club provides academic support to children and young people on a regular basis. Includes Literacy club and SEAG Club.
GCSE Revision
BSCR Deliver a 4 day GCSE Revision week during the Easter period. The week is aimed at pupils who need that extra support prior to their GCSE Maths exam. The pupils are split into small groups and are taught by a fully qualified teacher who is assisted by a classroom assistant/Mentor. This project is in partnership with Queen’s University Belfast and is funded by Belfast City Council.
